Hi,

I'm currently busy with creating a pure web2.0 website; just for show. I want people to experience pure web2.0, so with modern glossy graphics, nice flash animations and of course ajax.

I'm quite far with the design actually, worked on it for about 4 hours now, but i'm afraid the total project will take a hell-lot more.

The idea came with me while i was searching for the ultimate web2.0 website. There are allot of websites that are pure web2.0, but most of them didnt have one of the subjects i mentioned before (AJAX, Flash, Glossy graphics). Of course there is not a real blueprint of web2.0, but for me those subjects are web2.0.

The website will be made with Photoshop, Flash, CSS, xHTML and of course JavaScript. I use alpha transparency images in the layout, i wont "hard code" it as images as i would say in programming languages, but i will use alpha trans. images by using the PNG format. JavaScript will be used to fix PNG images for IE6.

Enough text, lets take a look at my first shot:

I will post some flash tommorow

Update: 5-Oct-2007

I uploaded a 0.1 ALPHA. It uses AJAX and other JavaScript. The header is a PNG file, so that makes this version not ready for IE6 users. (yes i know how to fix it)

The AJAX doesn't work with IE7, i really don't understand why... It should work perfectly . I do know it has something to do with IE7 natively supporting XMLHttpdRequest objects, which IE6 didn't.

You can check out 0.1 here!

So what do you think of it so far?

Sorry to revive a dead thread, but I would really like to see how this project has come along. It looks very nice from the screen shot above!

I'm also new here, brilliant tutorials aswell!

Hi, welcome to Combined Minds!

The project is a bit dead right now, but im thinking of picking it up again. There is not that much to do actually, i just want to do a bit more flash since it's real Web 2.0.

And i need to fix the IE6 errors :P (Alpha Trans. PNG's)

P.S. I don't even know it's xHTML valid
