Combined Minds update: v2.1
I'm proud to let you know that a few hours ago the DNS records were updated, after 7 months of coding, 2.1 is online!
Combined Minds has a complete new backend, totally rewritten. With this backend update we came with tons of new functionality, so from today you can post snippets, fill in your CM profile and much more. Also you've probably seen the new front-page, this page contains less bullshit and more useful information.
The usability of the site has also risen to a totally new level. It's much easier to register a new account, to reply to content and much more. When you lose your password, it just takes 30 seconds and you are already logged in and changed your automatically generated password to your own.
We've dropped some options though, the headlines were hard to maintain (even while we did) but was not interesting according to our statistics. So no more headlines here on the Mind.
Those who've already logged into their account have already seen the new userpanel, this time there are actually quite some interesting things going on in there. Many people requested avatars so their included, many people liked a good profile so that's included. Next to those updates we came with the knowledge system, in your profile you let us know all your skills. So when you are a pro PHP programmer you can let us know by updating your profile.
Along with this site update I would also like to say welcome to a new team member: Codefreek. I met this fellow coder on TalkPHP.com and it seemed a nice guy. Codefreek is an expert in web-markting, so CF will attempt to make this community bigger.
